2025 Globe 580 Transat Tracker Update by Frank

Good day, everyone! As we edge closer to the Mini Globe Race excitement is mounting, and we’re just 10 days from the TRANSAT start! Our entrants are buzzing with activity, sharing updates and engaging content which we love to see and share with all of you.

🎥 Don’t miss the latest clips from the fleet, especially from our spirited sailor John of Delja 100. His debut on camera is a must-watch! For a sneak peek into life onboard, check out his video—it’s short but packed with his vibrant personality. SHARE it with friends.

📝 We’re also sharing new updates and videos from Dan, the holiday man, later today. Remember, we’re spacing out these onboard video glimpses every couple of days to keep the excitement rolling. Tomorrow we share another G580 Video Tour!

📘 Incredibly, Graham Cox has been compiling what could only be described as a monumental log of this journey in his latest report—around 6,000 words of detailed observations and heartfelt stories from our sailors. His dedication provides not just an update but a historic record that will one day grace the pages of a book about this incredible race.

📊 Over on the tracker, the winds are picking up, notably around Peter Punk and Argo, both clocking in at 5.1 knots. While Little Wren takes a gentler pace at 3.3 knots amid lighter breezes, the tactical plays across the fleet make for a fascinating race as they aim for Antigua. The lead is likely to change often in the days ahead.

🚑 On a more serious note, our thoughts are with Adam facing challenges, our brave sailor managing his journey with fractured ribs but still keeping spirits high and sails full.

💨 Looking ahead, the trade winds are promising to make the next leg of the journey exhilarating, with strong northeasterly winds and 3-4mtr seas paving the way. This setting the stage for what might be a swift passage to the finish line, potentially in just 25-26 days !

🔍 For a deeper dive into the daily lives of our adventurers, the trials they face, and the sheer joy of sailing, stay tuned for more posts and the personal stories they share. It’s not just a race; it’s a testament to human spirit and the boundless allure of the sea in what some call Tiny Soap boxes!

🌟 Thanks to everyone for following along, and here’s to steady winds and safe travels for our intrepid sailors. See you in the next update!
